This quote by Ijeoma Umebinyuo inspires me and might help others
Start now. Start where you are. Start with fear. Start with pain. Start with doubt. Start with hands shaking. Start with voice trembling but start. Start and don’t stop. Start where you are, with what you have. Just start.
Umuryango wa Harambee wamfashije kubona akazi aho banyigishije uburyo nkwiye kwitwara mu kizami cyo kuvuga. Ibi byanteye kwitinyuka mu gihe nsubiza ibibazo, binyigisha kwerekana no gusobanura ubuhanga bwanjye bityo bingaragaza nk’umukozi ukwiye uwo mwanya.
Amahugurwa ya Harambee yanyigishije kwitinyuka no kuba umukoranabushake. Yamfashije kandi gushakisha akazi no kwerekana uburambe mfite mu byo nkora byose. Ndashishikariza urundi rubyiruko rushakisha akazi kuticara mu rugo ahubwo bagashakisha aho bakora bakubaka uburambe ndetse bakamenyana n’abantu kuko rimwe na rimwe ariho hava akazi.
I joined Harambee in March 2020 and learned different tips, which I started to implement immediately. Networking has worked well for me during this lockdown. I stayed in touch with my friends and kept reminding them that I was looking for any opportunity because I knew I would get experience from it. Recently, I got a call from a friend who connected me to my current part-time job. I would like to encourage others to never give up and make the most of networking.
Amahugurwa ya Harambee yatumye ngira ishyaka ryo gukura amaboko mu mufuka, nkitinyuka nkumva ko nshoboye, nkigirira icyizere kandi nkakoresha amahirwe yose mbonye nkayabyaza umusaruro kugirango niyubakire ejo heza.
Through Harambee, I learned to value every opportunity that could allow me to use my potential and started looking for internships and volunteering work. I encourage youth to stay courageous and optimistic.
Maze gutumirwa mu kizami cyo kuvuga (interview) aho nari narasabye akazi, negereye Harambee mu mahugurwa yabo ya “Mock Interview Preparation” maze bamfasha kwitegura icyo kizami. Icyo nigiyemo kandi nshishikariza urundi rubyiruko ni ukumenya gusubiza no kwambara neza kuko bisigira ishusho nziza umukoresha.
